Three steps to your first folder

Step 1

Pick a device

A NAS, a small mini PC or a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 is enough. What we have tested ourselves is listed on the page “Tested platforms” (German).

Step 2

Install

From the app store of your home server (umbrelOS, ZimaOS, CasaOS) or with Docker Compose. For the Raspberry Pi there is a step-by-step guide.

Step 3

Choose packages

The setup assistant asks what applies to you and fetches the matching packages. All questions at once, one button, done.

On a computer everything sits side by side: choose on the left, see the list in the middle, edit on the right. On a phone everything is stacked. The interface adapts to your device – not you to the interface.

Linked folders, not filing cabinets

Everything is connected, just like in real life

Every thing gets a folder.The house, the heating, the maintenance contract, the invoice. A folder holds as many documents as belong to it: invoice, delivery note, acceptance report, photos.

Folders refer to each other.The invoice belongs to the maintenance contract, the contract to the heating, the heating to the house. No document is stored twice.

Find everything from anywhere.Open the house and you see the heating, contracts and invoices. Open Lena and you see everything that concerns her.

Each box is a folder (in Ablago: Mappe). The small label on top is the kind of folder (person, house, contract …), below it its name. The number shows how many documents it holds.
